Preparing a Boat for a Survey

• The vessel buyer/client should arrange for a vessel haul or launch the day of the survey. This is usually done in concert with the yacht broker, if any.

• Separately arrange for an additional engine surveyor if desired. An engine survey may be conducted the same day as our survey.

• Cabin and engine keys or lock combination made available.

• All listed equipment aboard or nearby for inspection.

• All the stowage compartments should be emptied of personal or miscellaneous items that are not part of the vessel’s inventory.

• Registration papers, documentation papers and vessel manuals, if any, should be aboard.
